Terms of use

These terms govern use of BusinessMaxx, a local-business advertising directory operated by APEG Group Pty Ltd. By creating an account or listing a business you agree to them.

Eligibility

BusinessMaxx is for Australian businesses. We encourage you to supply an Australian Business Number (ABN) so customers and our team can verify who you are. You must be able to enter a binding contract and keep your login details secure.

Listings and contact details

You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing, including name, category, home suburb, work radius, ABN and the phone, email, website and address you publish. Those contact details are shown publicly so customers can reach you directly. Keep them current and lawful to use.

Approval, suspension and removal

We may approve, refuse, suspend or remove a listing where we reasonably consider it inaccurate, misleading, incomplete, unlawful or otherwise unsuitable. Profile edits (other than a work-radius change made through the authorised radius update) require re-approval before the listing is public again. Pending, rejected and suspended listings are not shown on public lists.

Credits and ranking score

Credits are prepaid advertising spend maintained by BusinessMaxx. They are not transferable, have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash. Spending credits onto your ranking score is one-to-one (1 credit = 1 score point) and is final. Daily decay of that score is a designed feature of the ranking model, not a fault or a loss of purchased credits from your wallet.

We do not guarantee enquiries, rankings, leads or paid work. A higher score improves your position on qualifying suburb and category lists while the score stays above zero; it does not promise customers or jobs.

Purchased credits are valid for 12 months from the purchase date. Welcome and pilot credits are valid for 6 months. Oldest credits are spent first. Expiry dates are shown in the wallet. No fees are ever charged on a credit balance.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, interfere with other listings, scrape or attack the site, post another person’s details without authority, or use BusinessMaxx for anything unlawful or misleading. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
